Balancing the Warrior & Healer Within: A Guide for Change-Makers | Ignite Change Makers
Achieving Balance: The Heart of a Warrior and the Soul of a Healer for Effective Change-Makers
To be an effective change-maker, you are given the heart of a warrior and the soul of a healer. You need the soul of a healer because change happens through unconditional love, and people change when they heal the part of themselves or their souls that is hurt and fearful.
You need the heart of a warrior because you witness injustice and acts of war against humankind and nature. A warrior sees pain, atrocities, and suffering. Warriors stand up for their causes and fight for change. They point out the injustices they witness and question the reasoning behind them. They do not turn away from the scene. They walk into the fire and do not fear the outcome. They welcome the experience as a moment to use their skills and expertise while deepening their understanding of the perpetrators.
The key for change-makers to be effective is to balance the heart with the soul. When out of balance, the warrior becomes stronger than the healer– anger and intensity take over, causing the change-maker to seek retribution instead of love and transformation. When retribution becomes the goal, more fear and suffering will be created.
When the healer takes over the warrior, the healer focuses on healing the victims and does not see the victim within the perpetrator. And the perpetrator remains unhealed and unchanged, and the change is not activated.
Therefore, change-makers need to maintain the balance between the warrior and the healer. The change-maker’s shield is their questions, and their weapon is the unconditional love of the healer. The balance creates a peaceful yet brave feeling of curiosity within the change-maker as they walk forth to co-create unity and oneness on Earth.
And so it is.
