Embracing Faith Over Fear: Navigating the Path as a Psychic Medium and Healer
Have you ever felt like you’re holding back a boulder while your life unfolds around you? The path of a neuro-distinct change-maker brims with challenges, particularly when much of your vitality is spent suppressing your true calling.
The Pressure to Conform
From the tender age of two, my differences became apparent. Growing up in an environment where my elders' surprised, shamed expressions were commonplace, I worked to muzzle the potent energy thrumming in my veins. Pressures to conform, to dim my intrinsic radiance, were constant companions during my interactions with family.
"Children are to be seen, not heard," my grandmother would admonish, wielding this age-old adage like a club used to stifle generations of vibrant women in my family—women who were reduced to mere ornaments and caretakers despite their wisdom and outspoken natures.
Contrary to being shy, my perceived invisibility was a deliberate shield; it allowed me to retreat into myself and hide beneath my mother’s dresses rather than expose my family to the risk of embarrassment through my words or sheer presence.
This self-imposed concealment came at a steep cost. My pent-up energy manifested in turbulent interactions with my sisters; I became a source of chaos without a constructive outlet.
As an undiagnosed neuro-distinct student, school only magnified my struggles. Confining my relentless energy while expected to sit still was a Herculean task. How does one absorb knowledge when every fiber of your being screams for movement, for engagement far removed from the passive "sage on the stage" educational norms?
By fourteen, the strain of invisibility became unbearable. Seeking solace, I turned to alcohol to blunt my vibrations. But this escape plunged me into darker realms of mood and self-loathing.
The Moment
Then, a chilling moment of reckoning came when I found myself injured in a cold, dark ditch—a literal and metaphorical pit mirroring my internal turmoil. Recollecting the horrific accident that landed me in the ditch and the societal labels branded upon me—"Unmotivated, lazy, disrespectful"—ignited a transformative scream of rejection from my core.
Faced with the choice to either continue awaiting rescue or to forge my own path, I chose the latter.
The Journey of Self-Discovery
Embracing my journey of change, I allowed curiosity and joy to guide me. Each step unmasked unique abilities, revealing how deeply my differences ran. Yet, initially, I turned away from these revelations, boxing them up as if they were problems rather than gifts.
However, the universe persisted, relentlessly highlighting these innate gifts. Encounters with lost change-makers in special education taught me the profound impact of empowering others, an experience that solidified and quietly challenged my resistance.
Transforming Burdens into Strength
As evidence of my powers grew, so did the boulder of suppressed potential. Messages from spirit guides, ancestral voices, and my own soul clashed with my fears—echoes of historical shaming looming large. Finding unconditional love in John, my husband, who embodies peace and acceptance, was pivotal. His support and the pile of evidence unearthed my true self, empowering me to soar.
As I nurtured others, I learned to nurture myself, slowly shedding the cloak of invisibility.
Establishing my business, initially dubbed "Unsuitable Advice," was a leap towards embracing my role not just in neurodiversity but as a beacon for broader change. The tragic loss of my friend Mark in that long-ago accident created a yet-to-heal wound, which was eventually soothed when I received a transformative message from him explaining that the accident catalyzed a profound evolution in consciousness by combining our energies.
The Illumination of Purpose: Using Psychic Abilities to Help Others Find Clarity
As the resistance yields, my mission unfolds. Ripples of fear leave me unsettled as I embrace my mission of being a psychic medium, a direct channel for The Council, a Healer, and a Way Shower. Yet the ripples calm each time I see the pain subside in a Mom who gets a message from the child she lost, or I witness accelerated healing in a person who is suffering physical pain from an energetic block, or I channel a message from The Council that fills me with hope and a deeper understanding of the universe.
Becoming a Beacon of Light: Guiding Others on Their Path to Rediscovery
Today, as I pivot from neurodiversity to focus fully on my role as a psychic medium, healer, and direct channel for The Council, I acknowledge the oscillating fears. I am poised to be a lighthouse for lost change-makers, guiding them to rediscover their essence and purpose.
The Power of Faith Over Fear
In living out this calling, I grasp the true magnitude of "faith over fear," trusting deeply in my journey and the doors it continues to open. As I help illuminate pathways for others, my once-burdensome boulder has become my bastion, a source of unyielding strength and light.
